COMPOSITE STRAP

Composite straps, also referred to as corded composite straps, have emerged as a superior alternative to traditional steel strapping. Constructed with polyester fibers embedded in polymer coatings, these innovative straps offer a range of advantages that make them a preferred choice.

Composite straps are more durable than steel straps. They are resistant to corrosion, so they will not rust or corrode over time. This makes them ideal for long-term use, even in harsh environments. Overall, composite straps offer a safer, more efficient, and cost- effective way to secure cargo during transit. They are the preferred choice for many businesses that need to transport heavy or fragile goods.

How to use Composite strap

To use a composite strap, follow these steps:

  1. Start by determining the weight and dimensions of the object you need to secure. This will help you choose the appropriate composite strap with the correct strength and width.
  2. Place the object on a stable surface and position the composite strap around it. Make sure the strap is flat and not twisted.
  3. Insert one end of the composite strap through the buckle and pull it through until there is enough slack to wrap around the object.
  4. Wrap the composite strap around the object, ensuring that it is tight and secure. The strap should make at least two full loops around the object to provide adequate strength and stability.
  5. Bring the loose end of the composite strap back through the buckle. Pull it tight to tension the strap and hold the object securely in place.
  6. Once the strap is tensioned properly, you can use the buckle to secure the loose end of the composite strap. Some buckles have a locking mechanism to prevent the strap from loosening accidentally.
  7. Double-check the tension and stability of the composite strap to ensure that it is securely holding the object in place. Adjust the strap if necessary by releasing the tension, repositioning it, and then re-tightening.
  8. If you need to transport the object, make sure to secure the composite strap to the appropriate anchor points in your vehicle or transport vehicle. The strap should be properly fastened and tightened to prevent any movement or shifting during transit.

Advantages

Lightweight and Cost-Effective

One of the primary advantages of composite straps is their remarkable lightweight nature. Unlike heavy steel straps, composite straps significantly reduce the overall weight of shipping containers. This weight reduction helps reduce cost, especially for air cargo or delicate products that are sensitive to excessive weight.

Unmatched Strength and Durability

Composite straps have an exceptional tensile strength, making them capable of withstanding high pressure and heavy loads. Their robust construction ensures reliable protection against breakage, even in rough handling environments. These straps are ideal for long-distance shipments that demand enduring strength and durability.

Enhanced Safety

In stark contrast to steel straps, composite straps eliminate the risk of damaging goods or causing injuries. The absence of sharp edges ensures a safe handling experience for workers and prevents potential harm to the shipped items. Furthermore, composite straps are entirely rust-free, ensuring the preservation of both the shipping container and the products being transported.

Ease of Use

Composite straps are incredibly user-friendly, simplifying the securing process for cartons or pallets. Their ease of handling saves valuable time and effort during packaging operations. Additionally, composite straps can be easily re-tensioned to accommodate load settling or packaging expansions caused by temperature or humidity changes.

Environmentally Friendly

By opting for composite straps, businesses contribute to a greener future. These straps are crafted from recyclable materials, making them an environmentally friendly choice compared to steel straps. By embracing composite straps, you can reduce your carbon footprint while maintaining excellent packaging performance.
